Why is there a preconceived notion that we as a society as a whole should look a certain way, act a certain way and talk a certain way just to fit in with the crowd? I for one used to feel this way. I like living “OUTSIDE THE BOX”! It makes life much more exciting. All of us are individuals; and that individuality makes us unique.

Why
is there a preconceived notion that we as a society as a whole should look a
certain way, act a certain way and talk a certain way just to fit in with the
crowd? I for one used to feel this
way. I like living “OUTSIDE THE BOX”! It makes life much more exciting. All of us are individuals; and that

WHEN CARING PEOPLE TOUCH OUR LIVES by: Amanda Bradley
WHEN CARING PEOPLE TOUCH OUR LIVES
There are certain kinds of people
Who don’t wait until they’re asked,
But somehow can anticipate a need.
There are thoughtful, sharing people
Who will give us their support
And offer help to make our dreams succeed.
There are caring types of people
With a rare and special talent
For making our days brighter day by day.
There are places in our hearts
For those we care so much about.
Where memories
Of their kindness always stay.

De’ Sea’s Commentary - Issue 1 of Who Knows
In this growing fast-paced electronic world, many people, including myself, life revolves around e-mail, social media and TEXTING. At times, I feel I am running just to keep up with the constant changes. Sometimes I think we need to put away or shut down our electronic devices for a while, that occupy so much of our time. We need human contact; that is so important in the world today! On the other hand, the computer might be the only means for some people to communicate with the world around them.
In the past, I have observed some people unable to have a personal one-on-one conversation with others. It appears they feel very uncomfortable. However, if you put a computer or cell phone in their hand, walla it’s as if you have turned on a light switch. Their thumbs moving faster than light can travel, I might be exaggerating just a bit. :-)
Don’t get me wrong I think computers and cell phones are great! But, I think they have greatly hindered the need for interpersonal communication skills with the younger generation.
I spend a lot of my time communicating with family and friends through email and social media. I wouldn’t have it any other way; I think of it as my lifeline… my fantastic support team! I try to find a healthy balance with all of it.
FYI- I'm here to stay baby! :-D

Pay It Forward - Making a Difference Today
You know how the littlest thing you do for a person means the world to them. Today, I went to our annual parking lot sale with one neighbor. On my way home saw another neighbor walking over, I asked if she wanted company and went back with her. (Don't worry, I didn't just leave the person I was with originally; she had to get home.) The second person I returned to the sale with was so happy she had someone to talk to, and didn't have to be there alone. I truly cherish moments like these and am glad I shared my time with her!

Leap of Faith
Life has so many twists and turns. You may think you have a perfect opportunity just waiting for you to reach out and grab hold of, but you hold back for fear of the unknown. Do not wait; take that leap of faith; you never know what blissful joy and happiness await you around the bend!
