CHRISTMAS EVE

It's Christmas Eve morning.  I think of what I am truly thankful for.  I am so blessed for all my family and friends! Without them my life would be so incomplete and uninteresting.   Have a wonderful Christmas filled with family time, love and laughter.

Christmas Thoughts

Each year the Christmas season brings such joy and laughter into homes all around the world.  The true meaning of Christmas, however, has been completely stolen.  The thief:  COMMERCIALISM!  Have  you been shopping, let's say mid June and you hear Christmas music faintly echoing throughout the store, the merchants are hoping the music will entice you into a buying frenzy.  That tactic doesn't work with me.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy giving and receiving gifts just like anyone else.  Beginning earlier and earlier every year, by radio and TV we are bombarded by merchants to buy the latest and greatest, only to have the latest and greatest break a short time later. Once we're hooked, we have the overwhelming desire to replace and restore order to our electronic world, only to be faced with yet another impasse, the item we had is now obsolete!  2 days ago it was #1 on the best seller list; maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get my point.

What happened to celebrating the persons birth who made Christmas possible in the first place, JESUS?  He came to earth to save us!  That was His gift to us.  I can think of no greater gift than that.  Some how Jesus seems to get pushed  aside in our lives and we only reach out to him when all our human resources are tapped out. We should be reaching out to Him 24/7, since His phone lines are open 24/7.

Why are people today doing their best to not offend others and apparently being politically correct is more important than children experiencing the true meaning of Christmas?  For example, completely taking Jesus' name out of children's Christmas programs is so wrong in my opinion.  Christmas is also a time for us to reconnect with families and create life-long memories which we can pass along to future generations.

MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BE TRULY BLESSED BY JESUS THIS CHRISTMAS!

LIFE

We have no choice in the life given to us, but WE DO HAVE A CHOICE IN WHICH DIRECTION IT GOES.

Opportunities

"Life holds many opportunities; just reach out and hope for the best. The chance may present itself only once. If you get a second chance, cherish it always." ~Kathleen Mollohan~

Music is the best stress reliever,
It courses  thru thru the blood
and calms the spirit
Thinking it's a great day to be alive

Life is so good.  I cherish every moment
the good and the bad...the life lessons
the opportunity to make a difference in the world
