What a great afternoon I had at work! 

I read with the same three little boys again.  The first one read a little bit to meet today; first time ever!  He did an excellent job and was so pleased with himself.  The second one, well let’s just say he’s such a kick.  He was trying to read along with me.  Then all the sudden, he started talking about living in a stand castle, having a pet dinosaur and playing soccer in the sand. I have a feeling this child will be a great storyteller someday!  Next he started asking me all about my power chair.  Our time ended by just sitting there visiting with each other.  And here I thought, he was a quiet and shy child.  lol

True Friends

True friends remain in your life no matter what. They're there to be your strength; they're there for you to lean on when you need support and comfort. They stop what they're doing and just listen. They don't run the other way at the first sign of upheaval in your life. In a nut shell, true and lasting friends are there for you no matter what life throws your way. That's what friends are for. They're Super Glued to you for life! (Not literally.)

Thanksgiving 2012

The Key

I have tossed away the key; I don't want it anymore. For to have possession of it brings too much pain and saddness.  Where does this key now rest, you may wonder? It rests somewhere on the floor of the vast Pacific Ocean. 

But, a glimmer of hope always exists! 

Any brave soul interested in this priceless key, is welcome to explore the deep blue. If found, you have the key to my heart.

I didn't find My Spark- I found my Jet Engine, Baby

I am so freakin excited!!  I had the absolute best time swimming in my entire life!   I went snorkel practicing again, shallow end first and then went deep length wise many times back and forth. Toss in my Amazon Turbo Ninja kick just for fun, and I was smokin. 

I did the dolphin, frog kick, breast and crawl stroke too without the snorkel.  My instructor said my arms are so much stronger since my last lesson. Whoo Hoo. All my hard work is paying off!   Olympics here I come!
