Happy Fall

Happy Fall to my Family and Friends

From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!

A woman was asked by a co-worker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?'

The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin.' God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.'

This was passed on to me by another pumpkin..
Now it's your turn to pass it to other pumpkins.

I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.

Amazing describes my day today!

I had the best swimming lesson so far.  I made it clear across the pool width wise on just one breath many times.  People always say I am full of hot air!   HAHA  no comment.  I also tried snorkeling for the first time too.  I loved it!  Once I got use to the dellybob on my face, I was good to go.  It was actually nice not to have to breathe while swimming, just a little minor detail.  The snorkel allowed me to focus on just my kicking and arm strokes, which was helpful.

I did an awesome job with my crawl and breast stroke.  I was also flipping and spinning so much in the water I looked more like a mermaid!  I had to be careful with my kicking.  It is so powerful now, anyone gets sprayed within a 10 feet radius of me.  I felt so bad, I really splashed an elderly lady a lot.  When I realized I did that, I apologized profusely.  Maybe next time, I’ll try my karate ninja Amazon warrior kick!  LOL

The Day I Was Known As “Scooter”.

One night at work, I was out of my scooter building great works of art out of Legos with the kids. A 3 year old, walked into the room and asked me about my chair and what it was called. I said, it is a scooter, sweetie. Then, the child went off to play with the other kids; I thought the subject was closed. Or so I thought. He came back and asked if I would lift him up and put him in the seat. I put him in the chair; he was thrilled and pretended to drive it. I lost track of how many times he wanted to sit in my chair that night. He wouldn't let any of the other kids near it. The unofficial "Guardian" of my chair. lol

Later, another new child entered the room and came right over to me. I said, hi what is your name? I am Teacher Kathleen. Before this precious child had a chance to respond, the child who asked me about my chair pipes up and says her name isn’t Kathleen. Her name is: Scooter!!!! From that moment on, I was known as Scooter to this child.

Struggles

Don't let one bad day, or one minor set back determine anything in life. Sometimes the biggest struggles bring the most joy!
